Thursday Evening Adventure

So last Thursday my sister came and stayed with me. That evening we went out to eat with a couple of friends. I let my sister drive back to the dorm since I'd had a margaritia. She accidentally cut a person off on the way back. We fully expected them to honk at us, maybe even flip us off, at the worst hang out the window and cuss us out. But nooooo. They pulled in front of us and the next thing I knew this paper cup comes flying back, hit the windshield and this red crap and ice goes everywhere. So we were temporarily blinded. My sister freaked out, and I slammed my hand onto the horn to get their attention and then flicked on the windshield wipers. I either scared them with my gesturing and mouth or they wanted us to follow them down the side street. Seeing as they swerved from one lane to another before swerving off onto the side street I'd like to think I scared the hell out of them. If they had stayed where they were at the red light... they would have had a word or two from me, their license plate number taken down. I still want to find the bastards to repay me for the car wash I had to get since there was red stuff all over the front of my car. That was an adventure in and of itself. We went to an automatic car wash at shell, the kind where you go on a track that takes you through. Never done that before. I made the mistake of commenting that it was like being eaten alive by a jelly fish or octopus. Well, after that was said my sister and I both started screaming and freaking out. It was just too eerie and weird. So then we went back to my room and the rest of the night was very pleasant. Although the next day I had to listen to middle school kids squawking on their horns for a scholarship to the school. Oh the noise. I shouldn't say that. There were actually several good players. Well, I've got to go get something to eat, so I'll leave this for now.

A Slight Scare

Ok, so I was watching The Actor's Studio on Bravo and David Duchovany was on and I just have to say... He's soooo hot. ~sigh~ Alright that's over with. I'm so excited! My sister is coming to stay with me for a couple days. We always have so much fun. So now instead of cleaning up and you know doing my Senior Thesis I'm hacking around on my computer. I had a notice from eBay that I hadn't paid for something that I knew perfectly well that I had paid for and panicked. But it's just been resolved so big sigh of relief. I was getting freaked out. That's about all the excitement for now. Nothing else worthy of note thus far. But this weekend might provide something interesting.

Flash: I'm Still Here!

No, I'm not dead!!! Though for a while last week I thought I might die. I haven't posted anything due to illness. But I'm feeling much better now after a weekend of drug induced sleep. I didn't leave the bed very much. And about 7 last night I started feeling better. So now I have the sniffles, a bit of a scratchy throat with an occasional cough. But much better than what it was!! I'll leave this for now.

If it was a snake...wait it is!!!!

Yesterday I got up early to go on a Botany field trip to look at wildflowers and plants and so on. While walking around the property of the man who was letting us visit and use his property for our field trip we went down into a creek bed and then back up on the other side. As I was going up the band I looked down and saw a snake looking right back up at me, right where I was about to set my foot. It looked like a rattle snake, but was lacking the tell tale rattling sound that goes along with it. All I could think to do was to jump as far away from it as I possible could. The girl behind me was busy looking at me and not down where she was about to step. I yelled snake at her pointing down and she then jumped out of the way. The distressing thing was, my professor and the land owner had walked right over it without noticing and were now out of sight and all the idiots in my class were gathering around it in curiosity. I yelled for the professor and that there was a snake. He came running and assured us that is was a nonpoisonous snake and would not hurt us. It was a good thing, because I would have been bitten, no questions asked. I was face to face with it, not more than a foot away. The sad thing about the day was that the boys were more girlie than the girls. They complained about the heat and the bugs and so on. blood sucker dude wore flip flops of all things. We told him he'd be sorry, but he dismissed it. Five minutes into the excursion while looking at a plant I noticed that his feet were covered in ants. I let him know and he started the ant removal dance. He tripped a lot and got stuck a lot with the native flora of Texas. I will admit that I enjoyed every minute of his misery. It's not nice I know but we all told him that he should have closed in shoes. Well, that was my experience yesterday. I'm lucky to have encountered a non lethal snake, otherwise I might not be able to write this today. Bye for now.
